From a user perspective, the analysis of kinetic or dynamic data with POPKAN, is composed of three stages:
– SPECIFICATION
– ANALYSIS EXECUTION
– RESULT ANALYSIS
In the presentation we work through a given case study demonstrating the practical work with POPKAN in these stages.
The first stage includes not only the specification of data, but also of the models and of the type of analysis. All of these specifications can be realized in a îpoint-and-click strategy”. During the analysis execution stage, which is a computing phase, the user is kept informed on the progress of the calculations.
The result analysis stage has three components: diagnostic checks, numerical and graphical summaries (for individuals and the population) and prediction.
In the presentation we will work through the first and last stage using the given case study.
In particular we will illustrate the graphical diagnostic tools for model validation and individual outlier detection as well as the results presentation in graphical and numerical forms. Because of its Bayesian framework, POPKAN is especially well-suited to provide predictions. We will show, how under proposed dosing regimen, predictive profiles for current or new individuals belonging to the considered population can be obtained.
